Here we are at the end of what feels like the longest term in school history! Though this is obviously not the case, the dark, cold and wet days have not helped and it is to the boys' credit that they have been relentlessly pushing through. I am sure for you all, too, that a week 'off' from the school run will be most welcome and I can see the boys are ready for a break.

Academic at School House

I hope that Year 9 parents found the Parents' Evening this week useful ahead of GCSE choices. In fairness, the boys tend to have a pretty good idea of what they would like to study but if there are any issues, please contact Mrs Melville.

Years 11, 12 and 13 should all now have their summer exam timetables with and all reported issues have been addressed. Again, any problems please let us know.

School House Sport

Rugby

On Tuesday, our U15 side had a tough afternoon on top ground in what proved a stern test for the boys. The boys never really got going on what could be described as 'one of those days'. Archie M playing a year up did well and deserves a shout out. On Wednesday, our U16 XV won the County Cup with eth tournament allowing for some experimentation with playing positions! Dan C at hooker is a sight I doubt we will see too often (Backs in the pack being another rare sight!). The boys played some good rugby with all the boys playing well.

Awards at School House

Academic awards this week go to:

Kayode A , Adam A, Martin B, Ethan B, Matthew B, Seb C, Harry D, Jesse E, Miles F, Simon G, Max H, Marcus H, Leo H, Mustafa H, Xavier J, Rory J, Henry M, Evan M, Evan O, Freddy R, Tom R, Ben R, Indy R, Kanishk S, Lewis S, Robbie S, Archie S, Joseph W, Hayden W, Jason W

Congratulations to all of the boys listed above.

Boarding

You will have seen an invitation this week inviting you to attend a flexi-boarding event after half term. The evening is a chance for day parents to 'get a feel' for boarding and see how the school runs outside of the teaching day. I must say, we have a lot of flexi boarders in Bungites and it is great to have your sons stay with us. Please get in touch if you need the boys to stay over, for whatever reason- I will gladly find them a bed! We have boys stay with us for lots of reasons and the school is arguably the best place for them to stay should you planning a mid term getaway!

Housekeeping

The house closes today at 4:30 and reopens on Sunday 2nd March at 6pm. Please could I ask the boys do not arrive before this time as there will be no one on site to take care of them until 6pm. Parents' Drinks I hope you have received an invitation from me this week inviting you to drinks in the house. This is always a great evening and thank you to everyone who has replied already.

I wish you all a restful and enjoyable half term.
