The theme of this year's Reading Week is "Celebrating the Classics". 

Throughout the week we celebrate reading and promote discussions around reading and books in all subjects. 

As part of Reading Week year 12 students will be arranging activities and competitions; including a mini-saga competition, themed lunch and a treasure hunt!

On Monday 3rd March there is an author talk for year 7 from Patrice Lawrence. A little after Reading Week, we have an author talk for year 8 and 9 from Dan Smith, and from 20th March there will be a Scholastic Book Fair in school.

For every £1 you spend on this month's Book Club, our school will earn 20p in Scholastic Rewards for books for school. Please place your order online by April 18th, 2025 

On World Book Day itself, 6th March, students and staff are invited to dress as a character from a book, this may be from a classic or another book. They are also invited to contribute to their House Charity. WBD tokens will be distributed to purchase one of the selection of WBD commissioned books. Books from the selection are pictured here:

Students should always have a book in their bag ready to read, but even more so throughout Reading Week!
