This week in LWE Tutor Time, pupils have been encouraged to pause and reflect on their journey through the term, with a clear focus on resilience. Tutors guided pupils through reviewing both challenges and successes, helping them recognise moments where they showed determination, adaptability, and perseverance. Pupils considered what they were proud of and what they had to push through, reinforcing the idea that resilience is not about having a perfect term, but about learning from experience and continuing to move forward. Throughout the half term, pupils have continued to use our G.R.O.W.T.H. acronym, with resilience as a key theme, to deepen their understanding of how these values apply to them both personally and professionally. Tutor discussions explored how reflection helps identify strengths and areas for growth, while action planning supports positive change. Pupils were encouraged to see resilience as an active process, recognising setbacks, responding thoughtfully, and using those experiences to build confidence and self-awareness. The session concluded with pupils identifying one or two realistic actions they could take into the next term, looking ahead beyond the Christmas break. This forward planning helps pupils connect wellbeing with progress, reminding them that rest is an important part of growth. By taking time to reset over the holiday and returning with clarity, pupils are supported in continuing their personal development with purpose, confidence, and resilience at the heart of their learning. As we approach the end of term, we would also like to highlight the importance of rest and recovery over the holidays. Even for those pupils preparing for mock examinations, it is vital to strike a healthy balance between revision and rest. Whether families celebrate Christmas or not, this break offers a valuable opportunity to recharge after a busy term, supporting both wellbeing and academic readiness for the new year ahead. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Wellbeing Team. ![]() |
