We've made it! The end of term and a chance for everyone to relax and recharge is finally here. This has been a long term and there have been so many highlights I can't fit them all in.

Last Friday we welcomed John and Joanne Gillette from the Zambezi Sunrise Trust. We then held our Craft Sale in the afternoon and raised an amazing £500 for the charity. It was a lovely event and it was great to see so many parents and grandparents popping along to support the girls.

This week has seen the Sock Swap on Tuesday, Junior House Suppers on Wednesday, Christmas jumper day on Wednesday and Senior House Suppers on Thursday. With a lot of singing and dancing from everyone we all had a fabulous time and enjoyed the chance to let our hair down. Every year we hand out a variety of awards that recognise what the girls do around School and the House, academic achievement, effort, House and my personal favourite, the Housemistress Award. The Housemistress Award allows us to recognise pupils who have put in an extraordinary effort, demonstrated courage in the face of adversity, bravery when they're scared and sum up our motto; "With brave wings she flies…"

Housemistress Awards went to Evie (Y7), Esme (Y10), Freya (Y12) and Natalie (Y13). Half House colours were awarded to Calli (Y10) and full colours went to Lilly, Hilda, Bea, Amy and Freya.

Our week, term and year was rounded off with the annual Service of Nine Lessons and Carols in the cathedral. The perfect opportunity for a moment of peace and reflection. All that's left for me to say is thank you for all of your support this term. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and we will see you all again in 2026!

Merry Christmas from Mrs Fordyce and all the Lodge House staff
