As the week advances, school Christmas, and all that this entails, draws rapidly closer. Studies increasingly resemble Santa's Grotto, although the year 7s seem to have a clear lead where decorations are concerned, and girls have been bringing in their Secret Santa gifts. Thank you to parents for helping this to happen, but remember - Top Secret! 

Charity efforts are still high on the agenda and we look forward to the year 12s Christmas bake sale on Monday. Please could I also remind parents that we encourage a donation of at least £1 for the Christmas jumper day on Wednesday? Thank you. 

Entirely in keeping with the festive spirit, girls have continued to enjoy the busy hum of the school's social scene taking part, for example, in a recent trip to Edinburgh, attending a screening of the Nutcracker in the Gala and, indeed, relaxing into the scene of tutor group social nights. Pictured here are the year 12s enjoying pizzas, games and chats with their counterparts in Poole up the road. I hope girls still have enough social energy for the Christmas dinners next week! 

Our Friday fun award today went to Anya R for getting 'stuck in' so well to life in DCSF. It has been an absolute pleasure having her with us for half a term. In other news, boarders enjoyed an impromptu pre-Christmas supper in Pimlico last night thanks to Miss Pollard and Matron, our first team hockey players achieved a victorious win against RGS to mark the end of their season, year 11 girls have been preparing for mocks and international boarders have started to pack. All girls are naturally excited to be almost in the last week.
