What a brilliant morning we had setting up for and completing our Movember HYROX 2025. The boys, as always, threw themselves into the challenge and it was great to see boys of all ages supporting each other. I can promise everyone who sponsored us that the boys earnt their money and they can be proud that they have 'done their bit' to support what is a fantastic cause. Sports It has been a tough week for our senior sides with the 1st XV losing to a very good QEGS Wakefield on Wednesday afternoon; however, the boys had more than enough chances to win (much the same as the week before against Barney) this is something they need to address. Our junior sides have faired much better with some good wins recorded across the junior years. Players returning from injury and illness has done much to bolster the squads across the fifth form. Our rowers are in action this weekend competing in Rutherford Head. As always, Bungites is well represented with the boys itching to get out and compete. I pray for good conditions and wish everyone well. Chess Our school chess team have been in action this week with a fixture over in Newcastle. Daniel S, Sebastian and Robert Z both represented the school and, I am told, did very well. I absolutely love to hear about the boys taking part in things like this so please push and news my way! Drama Our resident Drama legend Zac H has been treading the boards down at Durham City theatre starring in a play called Lucky Numbers. The play runs until Saturday evening so if you are at a loose end this weekend why not pop along! Academic Lauds

Sebastian C Massive well done to all of the boys listed above. Parents Drinks Thank you to everyone who has RSVP'd already and do please let me know if you are able to come along on the 12th December... I will be shopping next week.... Housekeeping Been a pretty quiet week in the house this week which I hope means everything has gone well for you guys! After this week, our attention turns to House Suppers so a gentle reminder to boys in Years 11-13 that their evening (Thursday 18th December) will be Black Tie (a very long standing house tradition). Have a great weekend and best of luck to those boys representing the School. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
