Last Friday evening, it was a pleasure to attend the Music Recital concert which featured soloists from across the year groups. The pupils performed with enthusiasm and confidence and it was wonderful to see such a variety of performances; some children taking their first steps and others further along in their musical journey. On Monday, Year 5 enjoyed their visit to Cummins, Darlington where they had a tour of the engineering plant and participated in a carousel of STEM activities. Year 6 headed over to Durham School on Wednesday as part of their familiarisation programme for Year 7. It was lovely to hear about their experiences and enthusiasm about the tours of the site and the activities they had taken part in when they returned. Despite the variable weather, we hosted our U9 Rugby festival yesterday and U10/U11 Hockey and Rugby teams have headed off to Yarm this afternoon. This weekend, the Choir will sing for the Advent Procession with Carols on Saturday and Sunday evenings. An atmospheric service which marks the start of Advent. Best wishes for the weekend ahead. |
