It has been another full and memorable week here at Chorister School. It began with great energy on Friday evening as our Boys' Weekend got underway. Alongside their rehearsals, the boys took part in a lively team-building competition, Dec v Can, where they constructed towers from spaghetti and marshmallows, made paper aeroplanes, and enjoyed a series of other exciting activities. After plenty of creativity, teamwork, and laughter, Can emerged as the winners! Monday began with a wonderful presentation in preparation for the first residential for our Year 3 pupils, followed by an energetic and enjoyable U10 hockey and rugby festival hosted at Dame Allan's on Tuesday. Our younger children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 pupils have been busily rehearsing for their upcoming Nativity performances - excitement is definitely building! Mid-week, the arrival of snow brought a touch of winter magic to our grounds. Despite the weather, school life continued with great spirit. Sophie, one of our Year 13 Heads of School, delivered a thoughtful and engaging assembly for Langley Day. Later, our Cathedral Choristers joined our Chorister School Heads and Deputy Heads of School and our Heads of House, for a special Langley Day service. It was lovely to see so many parents attend this tribute to our founder, Thomas Langley. We end the week on a festive note with the launch of our House Wreath Competition, which always sparks wonderful creativity, and this evening's Year 2 to 6 Music Recital, showcasing the growing talents of our young performers. Wishing you all a wonderful - and hopefully warmer – weekend. Mrs J Balfour Deputy Head Pastoral Chorister School |
