The hours of rehearsals, along with the toil and sweat expended by senior girls, certainly resulted in a glittering performance on Wednesday night. Although victory was not ours to be had, (and well done again to Poole and Lodge), Pimlico girls are proud of the fact that they gave of their best and that the audience thoroughly enjoyed their pieces. "Beautiful" was an adjective I heard a few times relating to the A Capella 'Like a prayer' and the House song was met with similarly positive recognition. My thanks go particularly to Georgia M and Sophie S for their leadership, patience and hard work and, indeed, to Clara MA for masterminding Part Song. A hearty well done to them - House Music is no easy task. In other news, the Langley Service on Thursday saw Georgia M, Sophie S and Jasmine M lay wreaths to represent Pimlico's part in the Foundation. Thank you to them. The week also saw our Charity Committee work together again to drum up more ideas for fundraising. Watch this space. As mid-November tips into late November, we anticipate the boarders' trip to York Christmas markets on Sunday and the Cathedral Advent Service on Saturday 29th. Boarders will be there in full force to support our Choristers and we look forward to hot drinks and nibbles on our return. Finally, the official dressing of studies ahead of Christmas will begin on Friday of next week and not before! As always, there will be a prize for the best Christmas study, but please note that we only allow battery-powered lights. It seems only right that this week's Friday fun be awarded to Georgia M, Sophie S and Clara MA for their tremendous efforts with House Music. What a feat! Have a lovely weekend. ![]() |
