Our first week back has been an eventful and enthusiastic start to the new half-term with a wealth of learning and enrichment opportunities throughout the school. Year 1 enjoyed their visit to Raby Castle where they learnt about its history, observed artefacts and posed historical questions along with exploring the beautiful grounds. The U9 teams enjoyed their Hockey and Rugby Festival at Mowden Hall on Wednesday along with fifty representatives attending the HMC Cross Country event at Barnard Castle on Thursday. Today, we hold our U10 Chorister School Rugby Festival where we look forward to hosting visiting schools. Today, we have been privileged to have two Chelsea Pensioners visit school as part of our Remembrance Day commemorations. Peter and Terry attended our Pre-Prep assembly and later met Year 3 and Year 6 children who had the opportunity to listen to their stories and ask questions about their lives and service. We are very grateful to have received two Remembrance figures depicting Elizabeth II and a serviceman which will be added to our Remembrance Day installations in school. |
