Wellbeing: Self Reflection
Friday, 10 October 2025

This week in LWE Tutor Time, our students explored the theme of Self-Reflection and Personal Development. The session encouraged pupils to pause and think about their experiences, both the successes and the challenges, to better understand themselves and how they can grow. Tutors began by asking students to recall a recent learning experience or challenge, sparking discussion about what went well and what proved difficult.

Through teacher-led examples, pupils learned how reflection helps turn experiences into opportunities for improvement. Whether it was a student analysing their study habits, an athlete reassessing their performance, or a friend thinking about how to communicate better, the message was clear: reflection leads to learning, and learning leads to growth.

To put this into practice, students completed a "Reflection Map" activity, identifying something they were proud of, something they found challenging, and an action they could take to improve next time. As the session closed, tutors encouraged pupils to think about how reflection supports their future goals, building resilience, self-awareness, and a proactive mindset for personal development.
