It has been a good week in the House. The boys (and staff) are looking forward to their well-deserved half-term break. The week has been a busy one particularly for the rugby club, putting out at least one side from every age group. Some noticeable performances came from both the Under-15s and 1st XV, winning their matches in the National Cup competition. Well done to all those involved. It was especially pleasing to see so many Pooleites involved in both games. Mr Madigan has been cooking up a storm with our boarders each week, and this week was no different. On Tuesday evening, Mac & Cheese was on the menu, and it was lovely to see boys of all ages helping and learning some life skills. I have been informed that it tasted absolutely delicious. House singing is starting to come together, and it sounds pretty good. I am hopeful that we will have a repeat performance of last year's victory in the part song. I would like to thank the Upper VIth Pooleites who have been coordinating the rehearsals and giving up a lot of their time. Charity information We will be pushing the boys to start planning some activities which they can be sponsored for after the half term holidays. We will be raising money for the Percy Hedley Foundation, a local charity which provides special education, care, support, accommodation, and lifelong learning for people with disabilities. More information on the wonderful work they do may be found on their website here; https://www.percyhedley.org.uk/. Keep an eye out for the events the boys have planned, and please do support the boys with this.
