Sixth Form Social 

Last Friday the Sixth Form girls enjoyed a wonderful evening of fun and games at their social. The competitive nature of our girls contributed to the volumes increasing with each and every game! The girls enjoyed sharing cheese and wine with each other and I thank Mrs Gowland and Mr Middleton for making it an evening to remember for the girls.

Teams 

A friendly reminder that Teams is for pupil use, not parents. If you need to contact a teacher, please do so by emailing or calling rather than through the chat function on your daughter's Teams account. 

Year 9 Social next week – Wednesday 8th October

Next Wednesday will see our final year group social of the half term. The Year 9 girls will be invited to stay after school until 6pm to enjoy time together and with our Sixth Form prefects.

Year 7 Parents Evening – Thursday 9th October 

A reminder for Year 7 parents that your first opportunity to meet your daughter's subject teachers will be next Thursday from 6pm. 

Open Morning – Saturday 11th October

It is School Open Morning next Saturday on Saturday 11th October, this is a reminder that all pupils are expected in that morning 8.45am-12.30pm. 

Half Term Collection

A friendly reminder about collection on the day we break up for October Half Term, Friday 17th October. We have our half term chapel service at Durham Cathedral – it is a wonderful opportunity for the whole school community to come together in such a spectacular building. Parents are welcome to attend. We will all return to the house at approximately 4pm so the girls can gather their belongings and be collected - MacLeod will close at 4.30pm latest, please ensure your daughter's can be collected by that time and the school bus will go early at 4.30pm from the quad too. 

If you would like to collect your daughter straight from the Cathedral, please email me by Tuesday 15th October.

Saturday 11th October - Open Morning - all girls are expected to be in school 

Friday 17th October - Half Term Cathedral Service (3pm), School closes for Half Term at 4.30pm
