This week has been very similar to last, with the weekly routines becoming second nature to the boys. It has been great to see and hear of so many academic achievements, and please make note of how many Lauds we have had collectively this week. Thankfully, the good weather appears to be hanging on for a little bit. However, as we head towards the winter months, please may I remind parents that the boys should wear either a school coat, or a plain navy or black coat. This week, House music has been launched and the theme of '80s' appealed to many of the staff, so we have had some impressive renditions of some classics in the staffroom. Unfortunately (or maybe not), we won't be judged on the staffs' singing. The boys have chosen, "It must be love" by Madness as our unison song, and "Radio Gaga" by Queen as our part song. The rehearsals have already started and at this stage I am glad we have a few more weeks to practice. However, I am sure it will be brilliant by the time we perform. Charity information After some careful thought, it was decided that we will be raising money for the Percy Hedley Foundation, a local charity which provides special education, care, support, accommodation, and lifelong learning for people with disabilities. More information on the wonderful work they do may be found on their website here; https://www.percyhedley.org.uk/. Keep an eye out for the events the boys have planned.
