Lodge House
Friday, 26 September 2025

There's been a definite change in the weather this week, with mornings feeling just a little chilly. With that in mind we used our Friday morning House time for hot chocolate, curling up with a book and chatting about all things reading related.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

The much-anticipated cast list for "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" has been released and I must congratulate Grace S (Y12) who will be Truly Scumptious. When I asked the House how many of them were going to be taking part it was amazing to see that over half of the girls are getting involved. It also means that it's got very quiet over lunchtimes as they all disappear off to rehearse!

The other big news of the week is the announcement of the theme for House Music this year. The 80s theme has been met with enthusiasm and I look forward to hearing what the girls pick. There is a long list of possibilities. Auditions for part-song will take place on Monday.

Lodge House Bake Sale

On Monday we will be holding our first bake sale of the year. If you or your daughter is able to make us something it would be much appreciated. Home-made items require an ingredients list. Also, a gentle reminder that we are a nut free school so no nuts please.

All of the girls have been invited to our Halloween party. It is taking place on Thursday 16th October, from 5-8pm. It will cost them nothing to attend, and we are encouraging fancy dress.

Open House

Finally, we will be holding an open house event on Friday 7th November for all parents. It's a great opportunity to meet some of the staff and other parents. We will have drinks and nibbles available, and you are welcome to bring your child. It will run from 4.30-6.30pm and invites will be sent out shortly.

Good luck to those taking part in rowing and hockey fixtures this weekend.

Lady of Lodge

Lady of Lodge this week goes to Arini S (Year 7) for collecting an impressive 10 lauds in total, 4 in this week alone. She is clearly showing our MARK values or ambition and kindness.
