The final weeks of term are gathering momentum and this week has been filled with celebration, sports, and stellar performances! Pre-prep gathered together on Tuesday to bid a heartfelt farewell to Bow through party games and celebration. They enjoyed looking at old photographs of school and trying on some of the uniform and caps from over the years. On Sunday, the farewell will be extended to our wider Foundation Community where we look forward to a gathering on the Bow Cricket pitch to mark this closing chapter for the Foundation. Under sunny skies and cheering families, our Pre-Prep children gave it their all during their Sports Day! Their enthusiasm and sportsmanship shone through. A big thank you to Mr Muchall and our Pre-Prep staff for organising such a joyful and well-run event. The Year 6 performance of Jungle Book has showcased a vibrant performance of wonderful costumes, confident acting, and spirited singing. The children brought Kipling's classic tale to life with flair under the musical talents of Mrs Murray who has written and composed the accompanying music. It has been wonderful to see the confidence of so many pupils shining through and enjoying the opportunity to perform on stage. What is particularly heartening is seeing those who have risen to the occasion and found a true sense of pride and fulfilment in their achievements. Tonight promises to be another spectacular performance. Thank you to all of the pupils for their hard work, team building and patience and to our dedicated staff behind the scenes. As I write, we anticipate our U11 Chorister School Cricket Tournament taking place this afternoon. Good luck to all involved. I have no doubt that they will play with great determination, teamwork, and skill, representing our school with pride. The highly anticipated match between ourselves as Durham champions and RGS as Northumberland champions will see one team securing their position in the Northern Schools Finals Day at Aysgarth next week. Well done, team! Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm. We look forward to the final weeks of term, packed with more memorable moments. |
