And just like that, Year 11 have finished their GCSEs. The boys were all so relieved to be finished, and I hope they all have a wonderful and well-deserved summer holiday. Some Year 13s still have a couple more exams to go, so I wish them all the best on this final push. It was lovely to see the good weather return and the boys making the most of the great outside space we have at Poole House. As you will see from the sports report below, it has been a busy week of cricket fixtures. A special well done to Henry W who made his first team debut this week, whilst only in Year 9. Well done, Henry, this is an incredible achievement. Also, this week Oliver J (Year 10) has made it through to the Newcastle Falcons Junior Academy Under 16s starting next September. Well done, Oli, another outstanding sporting achievement. The rehearsals for the junior production of Shrek continue and I am really looking forward to seeing it next week. Well done to all involved. On Monday of this week, we had our Poole House sponsored swim. The boys managed to swim a combined total of 12600m in just over an hour. It was brilliant to see the boys come together and raise even more funds for the MND association. Zac M has managed to raise over £400 this week, which is incredible. Well done, Zac. Our total now stands at £4656. We would absolutely be delighted to hit the £5000 mark. If you can donate and help us reach our target, please use the link below. Thank you very much. If you would like any further information on the MND association, please follow this link https://www.mndassociation.org/ If you would like to donate to our JustGiving page, please use the link below. https://www.justgiving.com/page/poolehouse1924?utm_source=IG We will keep updating our Instagram account (PooleHouse1924) throughout the year, detailing how we are getting on and of all the achievements of our Pooleites.
