Poole House
Friday, 13 June 2025

It has been another great week in the house and the boys have been in good spirits following exam week. It has been great to listen to the many happy stories of their results. This leads me on to a truly outstanding achievement. David Y (year 10) achieved the highest grade possible in every exam, and as a result, he will sign the Liber Laudis.

I had the pleasure of going to the Art and DT exhibition and it was wonderful to see the work of all our pupils, which was of an extremely high standard. As someone who struggles to draw, I was in awe of the work of all the pupils. Congratulations to all involved and to the teachers who have enabled the pupils.

On Monday of next week, we have our Poole House sponsored swim. The year 11-13 pupils will be doing this during their games lesson period 6. Years 7-10 will be doing it from 4.30-5.30. We hope this will help to increase funds for the MND association. This week has seen us pass the £4000 mark, thanks to Theo R who raised an incredible £120 following his 81-mile bike ride from his home in Ryhope to Bamburgh. Well done, Theo.
