From the Headmistress of Chorister School
Friday, 16 May 2025

Today, Pre-Prep children and staff have had a fun dance-a-thon in their fantastic animal costumes, raising money for the Born Free Foundation. The day has been dedicated to raising awareness about the plight of threatened and endangered species and to encourage action to protect them.

Year 4 and Year 6 have been incredibly fortunate with the weather as they headed out on their Residential Activity weeks, which were packed with adventure, teamwork and friendship. The children embraced their challenges through a wide range of activities: climbing walls and rock climbing, high ropes, river ventures and paddleboarding. They conquered challenges with courage and determination and supported each other. Evenings were filled with games, stories, and reflections on the day's highlights. For many, this week wasn't just about outdoor activities — it was about friendship, independence, and making memories that will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to the staff and centre instructors who made this sunny adventure possible. And of course, to our children who were a credit to the school. More adventures lie ahead — and, hopefully, more glorious sunshine too – as Years 2, 3, and Year 5 head out next week on trips.

Full reports on all these adventures will appear in next week's Half Term Highlights.
