We are thrilled that our new ping pong table has arrived and the girls are already embracing the fun with friendly competitiveness! We look forward to some competitions between the girls (and staff!) in the near future! Good luck to the Year 12 girls who have their School Monitor interviews over the next week. Year 11 Ice Cream Social and Sixth Form Pizza Social On Tuesday The Year 11 girls enjoyed ice creams after school with Mrs Swan and Mrs Myers-Bruin as a good luck as they embark on their GCSE examinations and start study leave. The Sixth Form also enjoyed their Pizza Social on Thursday evening with Mrs Gowland which was a huge hit! As ever, it has been lovely to get together with the girls and have fun after school – obviously involving food! Each year group has a social this term, please check the dates below and details will be confirmed with the girls the week before. Chapel Talk Thank you to some of our Year 12 and Year 9 girls who spoke in chapel on Wednesday. The girls celebrated VE Day and the memories OD's had of World War II and the contribution that girls and women in County Durham made to the war effort. Well done, Jess, Lottie, Gabrielle, Dana, Lotte, Narjis! Well done to Dana who also performed her Marsden Public Speaking Competition entry in the chapel last week. Girls Sport Dinner! Academic Achievements Congratulations to Lola in Year 10 who competed in her first International Showjumping event last weekend. Lola came second on the first day of competition and won on the second day which meant that she qualified for the finals. Lola performed brilliantly and won the final day which was a 1* competition. Well done, Lola!
