Poole House
Friday, 9 May 2025

The week, although it was only 4 days, has been incredibly busy. Over the long weekend the boarders had a social evening with all boarders from Pimlico and School House coming to visit the new firepit area. It was a wonderful evening and so good to see all the boys outside enjoying some fresh air, and toasted marshmallows. Wednesday was the day of sports and House photos. I always find this a brilliant occasion as it is so good to see the whole house come together looking smart, and it was no different on this occasion. There have been many Cricket fixtures this week and even more to come over the weekend, it has been brilliant to see so many Pooleites involved in all the teams.

This week also saw our Year 11 and 13 go on study leave for their upcoming GCSE and A Level examinations. We wish them all the best of luck, and I hope they all achieve the grades they hope for. I also hope they make the most of the time to revise and prepare.

Poole House Fundraising

Last week I forgot to mention the incredible effort from Harry VDG and his family in raising funds for the MND association. Harry walked the Durham coastal footpath from Seaham to the Headland in Hartlepool, walking an impressive 18 miles in the process. Well done to Harry and the family.
