We would like to remind you that today marks the deadline for applications for the position of Wellbeing Ambassador for our Year 12 students. These leadership roles are a valued part of the Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation, offering students the opportunity to actively support and promote wellbeing across our school community. The Wellbeing Ambassador programme provides Sixth Form students with meaningful responsibilities and the chance to develop key life and leadership skills while making a real difference in the lives of younger pupils. At the Foundation, we place a strong emphasis on wellbeing as part of the core MARK values and our ethos, using the acronym G.R.O.W.T.H to guide our approach. This stands for Goals, Resilience, Others, Words, Time, and Health, helping our students understand and embody the principles of positive mental health and personal development. Our Wellbeing Ambassadors play a central role in modelling and supporting these values, often engaging with younger pupils across the Foundation by visiting The Choristers and Bow sites to offer support and take part in wellbeing initiatives. As part of the next stage in the application process, all candidates will be involved in activities during Mental Health Awareness Week, beginning Monday 12th May. We are incredibly proud of the Year 12s who have shown the courage and initiative to apply for this important role, and we wish them every success as they step forward into this exciting and meaningful challenge.
