What a wonderful week in Poole House it has been, The week started with the much anticipated Dunelm run and it was a excellent day all round. A full report in the sports section below. Tuesday evening saw the Marsden Public speaking competition. This is always an excellent event and this year was no different. Poole house was well represented in the finals with Riley M in the junior section who performed brilliantly. Ethan J was in the Senior Final and went on to win. Well done Ethan this is an excellent achievement. Tuesday also saw the under 14/15 cricket team fly off to Sri Lanka for two weeks, playing 6 games. I look forward to hearing from them on their return and a full report will be in after the Easter break. 

Wednesday saw the final 1st XV fixture of the year and for some their final appearance for the rugby Club. Both Matthew H and George Bolam have been incredible servants to the club and this was an emotional last outing for them both. George B captained the team all season and lead the team to glory in the final game against Edinburgh academy. 

Poole House Fundraising

The donations for the house charity have been coming in again and we have passed the £2000 mark. I am looking forward to hearing how the boys get on with their challenges over the Easter Holidays.

Poole Sports Focus 

Monday saw the annual House Cross country competition, as always it was a brilliant occasion. It was superb to see the whole house buy into the event and all Pooleites competed in with a great attitude. In the Junior event Fred S, had a superb run and finished 2nd. The intermediate event was incredible from a Poole House point of view. The top 5 runners were all Pooleites, With Edward C in 3rd, Eden S in 2nd and Oliver J coming in 1st. The overall results will be announced in Chapel after the Easter Holidays. Well done to all involved.
