From the Headmistress of Chorister School
Friday, 28 March 2025

Signs of Spring have been in the air this week with the temperatures warming slightly, the sun making an appearance, the spring flowers in bloom and the increasingly lighter evenings.

Across the school there has been much to celebrate! Pre-Prep are enjoying their Creative Curriculum 'round up' activities, consolidating learning in their topics and Year 2 thoroughly investigated Rainton Meadows.

At the Cathedral site, it has been a busy week with the Year 3 and 4 performance of Roald Dahl's 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and the Year 5 and 6 Dean's Public Speaking Competition finals. Both events were fabulous opportunities for the children to showcase their talents and most importantly enjoyment! It is through these events that we truly see the confidence that emerges in our young people, the journey they take towards achieving success and in several cases the resilience shown to persevere. I was immensely proud of all the children, both those who thoroughly enjoy performance opportunities but also those who stepped out of their comfort zone.

My thanks also go to our amazing staff team whose skills, passion and encouragement fosters this remarkable progress and outcomes.
