HOUSE NETBALL – CLEAN SWEEP! 

Well done to the senior girls who won their House Netball competition making it a MacLeod clean sweep in netball this year! Some excellent performances across both the A and B team with Darcy and Millie being Players of the Day! That is another house competition win for the Girls in Green this year… on to the Dunelm on Monday! 

DUNELM RUN – House Cross Country

The whole school will be competing in the Dunelm Run on Monday, the annual House Cross Country event. Please ensure our daughter has her green house top (and house hoody if she has one) in school on Monday. We look forward to seeing the girls competing and supporting each other. We have spoken to the girls about the importance of every member of the house competing to the best of their ability, even if this means walking parts of the course. We get points for the number of finishers so it is important that every girls embodies the HOUSE SPIRIT and gives it everything. 

Easter Bake Sale 

We have our Easter Bake Sale on Tuesday 1st April to raise money for the Winnie Mabaso Foundation. Please encourage your daughters to bring in bakes good on that day, home made or shop bought, but no nut products please. 

MacLeod Celebrations

Lola in Year 10 has been competing recently with her horse Emmoru and last weekend qualified for the 5 star bronze league final at Arean UK – out of 200 riders, she came 3rd. They also competed in the bronze final on Sunday with Lola being the youngest rider against adult riders and came 2nd, to the rider who has won for the last 2 years (less than a second between them!). Well done, Lola 

End of Term Collection

A friendly reminder about collection on the day we break up for the Easter holiday on Friday 4th April. We have our chapel service at Durham Cathedral – it is a wonderful opportunity for the whole school community to come together in such a spectacular building. We will all return to the house at approximately 4pm so the girls can gather their belongings and be collected - MacLeod will close at 4.30pm latest, please ensure your daughter can be collected by that time and the school bus will go early at 4.30pm from the quad too. If you would like to collect your daughter straight from the Cathedral, please email me by Tuesday 1st April. All girls will be asked to clear their lockers and studies for this break so I suggest they start to take belongings home over the course of the final week.
