This week's Chorister School entry is from Mr Chandler After an icy start to the week, the sun is out and Spring has arrived! Thursday's clear skies and sunshine made an excellent backdrop for Happiness Day. Over the course of the week, and carrying over into next week, the Senior Leadership Team have had the privilege of showing many of the parents of children in EYFS and KS1 around the current Cathedral Site. It has been a useful opportunity for parents to see the school and our plans for their children's new learning environment. Thank you to all who have attended. Our FS1 pupils have had a busy week. They have walked over to Palace Green, and enjoyed their lunch in the secure environment of the Secret Garden on the Cathedral Site. Then, later in the week, the fun of a Mothers' Day Workshop when parents came to visit. Year 1 enjoyed an interesting visit to Tynemouth Aquarium, gaining insights into the sea life in our region and beyond. We have had many pupils representing the school in Rugby Sevens, Netball and Football. All have played well and returned with good results. I have popped into rehearsals for the Y3 and Y4 production and from what I have seen and heard, those of us attending the shows next week are in for a real treat! With best wishes Mr Chandler, Deputy Head |
