As last week drew to a close, the School Choirs made their way to Ryton to perform in the Music Festival. Their performances were nothing short of exceptional, as they were awarded first place trophies in both the hymn singing and set piece categories. In addition to these achievements, many of our students had a wonderful time participating in the music and drama classes, with their successes proudly shared across our social media channels. It has been a very productive week on the sporting front. On Tuesday, the U11 7s team had a great day at St Peter's for the North of England Prep School 7s. As the day progressed, they showed great improvement, securing notable wins against Woodhouse Grove, St Peter's, and Hymers. On Wednesday, teams travelled to The Grammar School at Leeds for the ISFA Football Tournament. The boys played some great football but, unfortunately, narrowly missed out on a semi-final spot. Thursday saw our annual U9 Chorister School Football Tournament at Palmers. All the Year 4 footballers gained valuable experience participating in the event. Finally, today, our Year 6 Hockey team travels to Pocklington to take part in the North of England Prep Schools tournament. Next week, we look forward to welcoming Bow parents to the Cathedral site to view the school in full operation. This will give parents the opportunity to see the spaces that we plan to use next year as well as some of the other areas of school. |
