Open Day

Open Day on Saturday morning set the tone for what has since been a busy few days. Pimlico guides were brilliant at keeping themselves, Betty the resident boarder collie and our visitors nicely entertained and couldn't have done a better job. They have been heartily thanked for their efforts and I know were appreciated by families who toured the House.

Pygmalion

Alongside the high-speed demands of a working week in DCSF, Pygmalion has, of course, added a whole extra level of Drama to the past few days. Fortunately, this Drama has been of the right kind. Incredibly right, as it happens: A fact to which I and the boarders can testify, having been lucky enough to attend the dress rehearsal on Monday. What a performance! I was immensely impressed by the sheer volume of text that some of the senior performers, (Matilda A and Georgia M), had to remember. On the back of mock week in particular, that really is something! However, it was lovely to see all girls shine in their different roles. A hearty well done also go to Francesca W; Lola HT; Evie C; Diana M and Esme L, for her role in Costumes.

Pimlico Sport

Congratulations are also due to our Netball players this week, both Junior and Intermediates. Thank you to them for taking part in House Netball and for their positive approach to the event. It's an additional bonus that the Intermediates came second. Well done! Ava F. even got a special mention in chapel for her performance in netball last week, so we were lucky to have her and other budding players as part of the squad. Watch this space for Seniors later on in March.

Others News

Last week's reading week quickly morphed into this week's Science theme and I was pleased to see that more members of Pimlico got involved once again. Nico's piece on Bioluminescence was in essence illuminating, of course! She had us all listening keenly in chapel on Monday. Thanks also go to Bel and Hannah R also who helped out with demo events around school.

As we hurtle towards the end of another week already, we look forward to International Dinner this evening and to year 13 parents' evening next Tuesday.

We certainly need another quiet weekend if we can manage it.
