Weekly Goings on

This week has been the mock exams for the Year 13s. It has been strangely quiet without them bustling around the house and by my understanding the week has gone well. It certainly is hitting that 'crunch time' for them and I hope that they get some good marks or/and learn some valuable lessons before the real deal! 

This week has also been Reading Week, with World Book Day taking centre stage on Thursday. The girls dressed up in a range of different characters and along with our LWE session on a Thursday morning, the girls told us about their characters and the books from where they were from. 

This morning, we had a guest speaker from St Cuthbert's Hospice come and talk to us about the charity we are supporting. Erin also wanted to take the time to thank the girls for all their hard work so far as we astounded at the £1500+ collection we have made. I hope the information will further motivate the girls to keep up the momentum for even more fundraising! 

A Plea! If anyone has any garden furniture they are hoping to upgrade this summer and need to get rid of the older model, we will happily take it off your hands! As the sun has shone on us this week, we are looking at making some modifications to the garden and this is a great way to start! Thank you in advance. 

Lady of Lodge 

This weeks Lady of Lodge goes to Aliha (Yr 7) who has undoubtedly been working consistently hard throughout the year and has shown strength and resilience whilst quietly getting on with school life. It was lovely to hear some of her friends wanting her to receive the award too and how the girls are supportive of each other. 

Upcoming dates:

Open Morning – Saturday 8th March  9am-12:30pm 

Pygmalion (School Production) - 11, 12, 13th March   (Dress rehearsal Monday 10th) 

Cookery Club – Next Cookery Club will take place on Wednesday 12th March, 4:30-5:30pm, cooking All Things Eggs! £2 for anyone that wants to be involved. 

Year 7 Social – Wednesday 19th March. Trip to Infinite Air! Permission to Mrs Fordyce. £7.95 per person. 

Year 13 parents evening – Tuesday 18th of March

Year 8 and 9 Easter themed social! – Wednesday 2nd of April in Lodge House. £3 to either Mrs Spence/Mrs Fordyce, please.
