From The Cathedral Choristers
Friday, 7 March 2025

Over the last few weeks, some of our Choristers have been competing at Ryton Music Festival in various vocal and instrumental classes. Well done to all who have participated, and it's been great to see so many first and second places awarded to you. Keep an eye out on the school social media channels for photos of the winners with their trophies!

The boys and girls combined for the Sung Eucharist and Imposition of Ashes on Ash Wednesday. This service is poignant as it marks the start of Lent, which is a very busy time for Choristers. 'Miserere mei, Deus' by Allegri was simply stunning, and Joshua and Clemmie did brilliantly in the semichorus.

This half term continues very busy rehearsals for the Choristers, as they prepare for the St John Passion Concert, Holy Week services including the Royal Maundy, Easter Sunday services, as well as the regular day to day services.
