Poole House
Friday, 7 March 2025

It has been a good week back in Poole House.

The boys have been making the most of the outside space we have and it has been pleasant to see them enjoying the nicer weather. This week, as ever, has been a busy one with plenty going on in all areas of school. None more so than in the English Department.

Reading Week

This week has been Reading Week and lots of excellent activities have taken place from Monday. However, on Thursday, pupils were able to dress as a character from one of their favorite books. It was brilliant to see so many pupils take part and enjoy the day.

Despite the improved weather, this week has been a tough one for Year 13 who have been sitting their Mock examinations. It has been pleasing to see the boys working extremely hard, Fingers crossed they all achieve the grades they deserve.

Rehearsals are well under way the for the school production of Pygmalion, which premieres next week. Good luck to all involved, both those on the stage and to those working extremely hard behind the scenes as well. We are really looking forward to seeing the production next week.

During half term a number of boys started their fundraising activities for the MND association, it has been brilliant to hear of all the exciting and creative ideas, and to see the money start to roll in for this incredible charity. We currently stand on £1559 raised. I look forward to seeing this continue to grow.
