It has been a long and incredibly busy half term! 

From House Swimming, to mock examinations, from sporting fixtures and events to drama production rehearsals. The girls will be ready for a well-deserved break over half term and I hope they can return feeling refreshed for the final 5 weeks of the Spring Term. Year 13 will return to their mock examinations and Year 11 face an important few months as they prepare for their GCSEs. 

A number of Sixth Form pupils joined Mrs Myers-Bruin and Dr Hardy for a last minute trip to see the new Bridget Jones movie this week – there was laughter and tears aplenty! 

We are also looking to organize a charity event to raise more money for the Winnie Mabaso Foundation, current ideas revolve around sponsored mile challenges (rowing, walking, running, swimming) in the Summer Term. Stay tuned for more details next term. As ever, we love to hear ideas the girls have for socials and events within MacLeod. Please do encourage your daughter's to share their ideas with their tutor and our Sixth Form prefect team. 

Open Morning – Saturday 8th March 

This term's Foundation's Open Morning takes place on Saturday, 8 March. Each year, we ask pupils to attend School on our two Open Mornings. Pupils' roles on the days include acting as tour guides, helping in individual Departments and with clubs' displays, and welcoming visitors in the Houses. Pupils should therefore expect to be in School from 8.30am to 12.30pm on 8 March. Please note that Open Morning is viewed as a school day and therefore pupils are expected to attend. If, for any reason, this is not possible, please let me know. Of course, if your child is representing the School in a sports fixture on the morning, or is a Cathedral Chorister, we will ensure that they are able to fulfil these commitments.

First week back – Y13 Mock Examinations 

Saturday 8th March – Open Morning – all girls are expected to be in school that day,

Tuesday 11th March – Year 9 and Year 10 Social 4.30-6pm 

Thursday 13th March – Y13 End of Mocks Treat 8.30am 

Tuesday 18th March – Y13 Parents Evening 

Friday 28th March – Sixth Form Social 4.45-6.30pm, MacLeod will close to all other girls at 4.45pm but girls needing to stay after that time can go to Lodge House,

Tuesday 1st April – Easter Bake Sale – Year Group Competition Wishing you all a restful half term!
