This week mirrors the whole term, incredibly busy and with a huge amount to celebrate. Wednesday afternoon saw the Junior House Supper and Christmas jumper day. Thank you to the catering staff for a lovely Christmas dinner shared with all the Year 7 to 10 pupils across all six houses. We then headed back to the houses for an afternoon of incredible Karaoke singing. Each year group had a duet performance then a whole year group "boy band" performance. It was an incredible afternoon with lots of laughter. It was a pleasure to see the boys having so much fun. Thank you to Mr Madigan for organising the whole event. Thank you to Mrs Melville, Mr Bowler, Mr Micklem and the incredible Janice for judging the competition. Thursday evening was the turn of the seniors and yet again it was an incredible affair. This one was a black-tie event, not a Christmas jumper in sight. The boys looked incredibly smart and were brilliantly behaved throughout the evening. Yet another delicious meal in big school then back to the house for awards and James Bond themed evening. It was an absolute pleasure to have the company of the year 13 pupils for pre-dinner drinks with my family in private side. Both the junior and senior events were excellent occasions and a fantastic opportunity to celebrate a wonderful term in Poole House.
Our fundraising for the MND association is still going ahead and to date we have managed to raise an incredible £730. In the new year we will be encouraging the boys to start their fundraising activities, with the challenge of raising £100 each. The boys can do anything they feel they can be sponsored for, and funds can be added to the just giving page on the link below. If you would like any further information on the MND association, please follow this link https://www.mndassociation.org/ If you would like to donate to our JustGiving page please visit our page, by using the link below. https://www.justgiving.com/page/poolehouse1924?utm_source=IG We will keep updating our Instagram account (PooleHouse1924) throughout the year of how we are getting on and of all the brilliant achievements of our Pooleites.
