Wow!! What a busy final week to round off a very busy term! I can't quite believe that this term has gone so quickly. It has been lovely to see how all our new girls have settled into life, not only in MacLeod but to the whole school community. The pace of life here is fast and they have a On Wednesday afternoon we had the Junior House Supper; the girls and staff enjoyed a fun filled afternoon of games and dancing after their Christmas lunch. A huge thank you to our Sixth Form who helped run the event. On Thursday evening the Year 11, 12 and 13 girls joined together with their tutors for the Senior House Supper. Another lovely event which saw the girls enjoy their Christmas dinner, drinks, dancing and games. It was so lovely to see all the girls socializing and having fun together, the perfect way to celebrate the end of term. End of Term Awards The Junior Awards went to:

Christmas Jumper Day On Wednesday all the girls and staff wore their Christmas jumpers and donated to our House Charity, The Winnie Mabaso Foundation. Thank you to all those girls and families who donated some extra pounds, it is really very generous. House Charity
I am thrilled to announce that due to our 2 bake sales and the Christmas Hamper Raffle, this term we have raised £1082 for the Winnie Mabaso Foundation. We are so proud of the whole MacLeod family for their efforts and send our sincere thanks to everyone. This will make a huge difference to the people in that community. Final Thoughts After a very busy term, I hope all MacLeod families can use the Christmas holiday to rest and enjoy some well-earned family time together. The Christmas break isn't always the most relaxing, however I know the break away from School will be welcomed by many. For those Year 11 and 13 building up to their mock examinations next term, I hope they can use the time productively, but also make sure that they have a good rest. I wanted to thank all of the girls and parents who have been so supportive this term, particularly with our charity events. A huge thank you goes to our wonderful tutor team who have been a fantastic support as well. Thank you, Mrs Wilkinson, Mrs Thompson, Ms Hillyard, Dr Hardy, Mrs Swan, Mr Middleton and Mrs Gowland.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2025. Laura Myers-Bruin |
