This week started with our Armistice Day service. Across the two sites, our pupils participated in a range of reflective commemoration activities. Thought and respect was shown as the children honoured the two-minute silence impeccably. Thank you for all donations towards Poppy themed merchandise which has raised £582.01 for the Royal British Legion across both sites. Over the course of the week, Anti-bullying activities have reinforced the important messaging to everyone that everyone must 'Choose Respect'. From the annual odd socks day to buddy lunches, Wellbeing Ambassador led form time and assemblies, we have delivered a very strong and clear message. Our LWE programme revisits this theme throughout the year but focused theme weeks are always a valuable opportunity to spotlight the message. Congratulations to our Chess teams who participated in the HMC Chess Tournament at QEGS, Wakefield on Tuesday. Well done to all involved and a special mention to Daniel S who won all of his games. This weekend our Boy Choristers fulfil their duties for the weekend. Coupled with a fun day out, I know that they will work as a team and enjoy the opportunity have extended time together. Finally, as there has been a definite dip in temperature this week; please ensure your child comes to school every day with their school coat. |
