Poole House
Friday, 15 November 2024

The focus this week in the house has been on House music. The rehearsals have stepped up a gear and, dare I say it, we are starting to sound like a well-trained Choir. Each house will sing two songs; the whole house song and a part song. The theme this year is weather, and the songs chosen by the boys are, "Here comes the sun" by the Beatles as our unison song and "Mr Blue Sky" by ELO as the part song. All the boys are making a huge effort, and it has been brilliant to witness the camaraderie in the house. James C (Year 12) needs a special mention as he has been incredible. He has led and organised every rehearsal and made sure all the boys know their parts. He has even created a new musical arrangement for the Part song. Well done and thank you, James. House Music is on Monday 18th in the Cathedral starting at 7.00pm. Tickets are still available if you would like to come and support the house.

This Week Njegos and I have been continuing with our Squat challenge to raise funds for our House Charity, Motor Neurone Disease association and we are both over 2000 squats down but still 3000 to go. Last week we launched our JustGiving page with the aim of raising awareness and funds for MND association. We are aiming to Raise £10000 over the year. We have already raised an incredible £255. This is before any of our boys have started their sponsored activities. Thank you to those who have donated, and we look forward to the support of others in the future.
