Anti-Bullying Week
Friday, 8 November 2024

Anti-Bullying Week begins on Monday 11th November, and Foundation is marking the week with a series of important talks and events aimed at promoting our MARK values, alongside respect and ensuring a safe school environment for all students.

One key event will be Odd Socks Day on Tuesday, where we encourage all students and staff to wear mismatched socks or tights as a visible symbol of our collective stand against bullying. Odd Socks Day is a fun, impactful way to raise awareness and remind everyone of the importance of celebrating what makes each of us unique.

This year, our sister school in Dubai will be joining in with the event and we hope to share some photographs from across the water in due course. Throughout the week, students at Durham School, will also complete the annual anti-bullying survey during tutor time. This survey plays a crucial role in the school's ongoing efforts to prevent bullying by allowing us to assess the current atmosphere and attitudes toward bullying within our community.

By gathering honest feedback from students, we gain valuable insights into their experiences and perspectives, which help us tailor our approach to support a positive and inclusive environment. The anti-bullying survey is an essential part of our commitment to fostering a safe and respectful space for every student.

This feedback not only allows us to address any emerging concerns but also helps shape future strategies, activities, and resources to prevent bullying and promote kindness and respect within our school community.

Please support by ensuring your child remembers their Odd Socks on Tuesday!
