What a wonderfully busy half term this has been. I have been very impressed with the boy's effort throughout the term but I have to congratulate all of our new starters across the age groups in particular. They have all managed to fit into Poole House, and Durham school seamlessly. Well done to you all. Last weekend saw the boarders from all three boarding houses have a Spooktacular party on Saturday evening. It was lovely to see so many buy into the fancy dress theme and enjoy themselves with their friends from other houses. Recently we have had an influx of flexi boarders which has been brilliant to see. It has been lovely for our fulltime boarders to have different pupils come and stay with us. If you would like any information on flexi boarding and think it is something your son maybe interested in please do get in touch. As we look forward to next half term and all the joys that Christmas brings, I would like to take the opportunity to tell you that House music this year is in the Cathedral on Monday 18th November from 19.00-21.00 It would be wonderful if you could come along and support the house in this great event. Congratulations to Abhinav V for his selection in the under 13 Durham county Cricket squad, and Fred S, who has been invited to trial as part of the under 14s Ice Hockey England National Training Programme in Sheffield on the 18th of November. Well done Boys this is excellent news and a great achievement. I hope all the boys get some well-deserved rest over the holidays and return refreshed and ready to get stuck into an extremely busy half term.
