The first full week of the school year and we have got off to a flying start!

It was a pleasure to meet so many parents at our Meet the Staff and Academic Evening on Monday where staff and parents were able to lay down the building blocks to work together to nurture and support children throughout the school year.

We look forward to similar events for KS1 and EYFS next week. Official school portraits were taken in school yesterday morning and it was a delight to see how smart the children looked in full uniform!

Next week sees the first outing of the school year when Year 4 visit the Discovery Museum in Newcastle.

Our programme of off site visits planned for this year is shaping up very well already; we cannot underestimate the benefits such enrichment opportunities bring to the children's learning.
