As the school year ends, it is a time for reflection on the exciting events and activities that have marked this term. One of the standout experiences was our visit to the RNLI station at Seahouses. This trip was packed with engaging activities and invaluable lessons. The boys had the unique opportunity to tour the RNLI station, where they received a comprehensive water safety talk. The highlight was undoubtedly the demonstration of the rescue line activity, where we got to experience first-hand how lifeguards conduct rescue operations using rescue lines.

Our adventure continued with a trip around the Farne Islands, a beautiful and historic area renowned for its wildlife and the famous Longstone Lighthouse. This lighthouse holds a special place in maritime history due to Grace Darling's rescue of stranded sailors in 1838. The group were fascinated by the stories of bravery and the significance of the lighthouse, which added a thoughtful historical context to our visit.

The day was made even more special with a cheque presentation. This event showed our support and appreciation for the incredible work done by the RNLI.

As we look forward to the next eight weeks away from school, the House staff can't help but think about the quietness that will descend upon the House, especially after the week we have just had. The constant hustle and bustle of boys coming in and out of the office will be missed. This week of action-packed activities has highlighted how much everyone anticipates the holiday, while also looking forward to the next academic year.

The variety of trips and experiences this year has been staggering. One notable highlight was the Year 7 and 8 visit to the Beamish Museum. Year 7 pupils impressed everyone with their imaginative scenario, persuading shopkeepers to donate to their invented Victorian charity. This activity taught the group a valuable lesson in confidence and persuasion.

Year 8's beach trip, organised by Mr. McMillan, was another memorable event. The pupils enjoyed range surfing on Tynemouth Beach which turns out to a very physical activity.

To mark the end of the activities week, the House hosted a BBQ that brought together pupils from the three boys' Houses for an evening of celebration and camaraderie. It was brilliant to see everyone enjoying the festivities, sharing stories, and making lasting memories.

This year has been both brilliant and fun, thanks to the boys' enthusiasm and participation. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents for their unwavering support.
