Macleod House
Friday, 28 June 2024

We have been enjoying the lovely weather this week and selling ice pops at lunchtimes which has proved a brilliant way to raise some money, but also keep cool.

I can’t quite believe that we are approaching the final week of term – what a busy year it has been and there is no let-up in pace in the final week.

Year 7 Science Fair
It was lovely to see all the girls take part in the Science Fair on Wednesday afternoon and see the projects they have been working on:
Isla G – Indigestion and the stomach
Isla Y and Annabelle – Malicious materials
Olivia and Charli – Musical cups
Laibah – Buoyancy
Florence – Naked eggs
Tilly – Animal and plant cells
Inaaya – The moon
Annie – Fruit energy
Freya – Rhythmic roots
Alice P – Life in space
Lottie and Edie - Dreams
Alice Z – The human body

Well done girls!!

Sports Day
I write this in preparation for Sport Day (which will have taken place at the time of reading). My thanks go to all the girls who competed and supported each other. Photos will have been posted on our House Instagram account @macleodhouseds and a report on standout performers will be sent next week.

Activities Week

Monday 1st - Wednesday 3rd July
Girls should know which trips they are going on from the information that has been sent out. They should pay particular attention to the clothing requirements of each day (uniform or non-uniform).
