From the Principal
Friday, 14 June 2024

It has been good to get back into normal lessons this week for the pupils and they are currently receiving their results for the exams that they took last week. As I said to the school in Chapel on Monday, the results themselves are important but the exam week is part of a journey rather than the destination itself. I trust that some results will have been pleasing for the pupils whereas others will make them take stock and reflect on them; there will be opportunities to discuss these results in person for parents of pupils in Year 7 and Year 12 in the weeks to come. Other year groups will see parents receive reports in due course. The weather is doing its best to affect the cricket season this summer, but as I write we are hosting the match between Durham County U14s and Derbyshire County U14s and it is good to see some of our pupils involved. More will of course be involved in the boys' and girls' fixtures over the weekend and I wish them well.
