This week there has been a new and very important addition to the house. Mr and Mrs Madigan have got a new black Labrador puppy called Bernard, and he has caused something of a stir in the house. It has been lovely to see the boys play with Bernard during break and Lunchtimes. Last Saturday evening all the boarders gathered in Pimilco's garden to try and cling onto the last of the summer(ish) evenings to have a fire pit and Marshmallow toasting evening. It was good to see all the boarders together and sharing much laughter until late into the evening. It is with great pleasure that we can announce the First XV rugby captain for the year is our very own George B. This is an incredible achievement and testament to all his hard work throughout his time at the school, and outside of school playing for Newcastle Falcons. Well done George, we are very proud of you! This week has been Kindness week in School which is one of our MARK values. The year 13 pupils spoke to the whole house on Friday morning about our chosen charity this year and how our acts of kindness in raising money will benefit others greatly. This year the House charity we will be raising funds for is the Motor neurone disease association, and throughout the year the boys will be encouraged to take part in fund raising activities so we can raise as much as possible for this incredible charity, and I ask for your support with this please.
