Poole House

Week 6 and what a week it has been. The term seems to be flying by and I can't believe we are nearly half way through already. This week as been full of success stories yet again; however, one that really stands out to me is last weekend, when the rugby club had their annual block fixture against Ampleforth College, with teams from Years 9-13 playing. It was brilliant to see so many boys playing across the ages and an incredible total of 38 Pooleites were involved; that is just over a third of the house. Unfortunately, William W suffered a broken ankle on the day and we all wish him a speedy and healthy recovery. This week, we also saw the launch of our Poole House Instagram account poolehouse1924; please do follow us, as we endeavour to get more and more posts out in order to give you a visual insight into all that we do. Thursday night was the Year 7 parents evening, and it was lovely to hear all of the positive stories afterwards. The Year 7 boys have made an incredible start to their time in Poole house and I must congratulate them all on their wonderful and positive beginning.

The end of next week will see the beginning of a well-deserved half term for the boys and an opportunity for some rest. I would just like to remind you that the service in the Cathedral starts at 3.00pm and finishes at 4.00pm. If you would like to collect your son from the Cathedral following the conclusion of the service, please could you let me know in advance. The House will close at 16.30 on Friday evening, for all boarders and day pupils.
