Some slightly advanced notice for our Open Morning next weekend. Pupils will know by now what their roles are for the day, so we are grateful in advance to them for helping out. It is really important in allowing prospective parents to get a feel for the range of activities and opportunities available for pupils at DCSF. Initial registrations are very healthy, but please do spread the word to anyone who you know who may be interested in looking around – you can just turn up on the day!

Tomorrow the 1st XV will be playing Ampleforth (away) in the annual Noel Shearing match. For those of you who are unaware, the match is held as a memorial to Noel who was an OD who tragically died in 2009 at the very young age of 34. We wish the team well and are confident they will return with the trophy.

Finally I am delighted to see the first Come Dine With Me event taking place in School House for boarders on Tuesday evening. I am grateful to house staff who are being endlessly creative in their events for boarders during the week and at weekends. It has led to an uptake in flexi boarding both in the Durham School house and in Barrington House too, so if you are interested please do speak to the relevant House staff.
